I also meet this problem, if use different version of Digital Editions to download books, this bug will occur, so you need to use orginal ADE version to redownload the books, then use this DRM Removal tools to decrypt books.

I am getting the write violation error and I cannot find a way around it. I am using Windows 7 and I have change the output directory to a USB drive and given full control over the folder. The sub folder: SourceNodrm gets created so the software does have write permission but I still get the error every time I run it - any ideas anyone as I am a bit frustrated that I cannot get this to work??

Is there any way to remove Apple DRM from epub books purchased via the iTunes store?
I don't think it's actually DRM but it does have the iTunes account information within the book.

It works fine with Adobe Digital Editions.
It needs to work with both!
Gary, sideload the Aldiko app or Moon+ app on to your Playbook from http://goodereader.com/apps/, or download the Overdrive app from the Playbook App World. Those apps should recognize and open your ebooks.

Using Windows "Vista" but continually get the access violation error, even when running as an administrator.
The sub folder: SourceNodrm gets created so the software does have write permission but I still get the error every time I run it.
I tested further using an alternative "trial" version of a paid drm removal, and that seems to work OK, again suggesting that write permissions are enabled fine, and that the source material is able to be captured and drm-stripped OK.
Any further ideas please?

For the access violation writing error. Turn off DEP for all programs and change it back to the default of DEP only for windows. Reboot the computer and then try the converter, itll work.

I still am, but... the last time i used the removal, i did'nt get a pdf-file but an epub-file, which i still can't print. Anyone who knows whats happended there?
Virustotal shows a detection ratio of 6/45. I don't know why those six virus scanners mark it as malicious. So far, I have not experienced any issues with this software. So I think it's safe to use. But I'm not an expert. Maybe the developer knows why it shows up malicious.

It was not enought to deauthorize then reauthnorize digital editions. I had to deauthorize then delete these 2 paths in windows registry then reauthorize.

I bought some epub books from www.thewinkstore.com. Which is providing good collection of Indian titles. I am not able to remove DRM from the file. When i try it is giving an error "Not a zip file". I noticed that wink does not save all files in a single .epub zip file, their .epub file has only the contents in encrypted form. other files like content.opf, toc.ncx etc are saved separately in a folder.Please help me to remove the drm from these books.

I have loved this program for the last few months, but it seems to have stopped working for me. I use it with Adobe Digital Editions on Epub books, but the output now says:

Is it possible that ADE has been updated so that it doesn't store keys in the same way? I'm on ADE version 2.0.67532
I tried another De-DRM tool and it seems to have a similar problem too. I'm thinking I may need to reinstall ADE, but am hesitant to do that.
Saw you note on Alf's site. I was going to get this prog but looks like there are similar probs with generation of the Adobe Adept key. I have the Adobe 2.0 version as well & also wondering if the probs are connected. I do not particularly like the new ADE but I am hesitant to try & find the older version & do a reinstall since ADE is "tempermental." I could not find a copy of the required .der file either after installing 2.0. However, maybe it's a hidden file ??

I've been using the program for both Adobe and Kindle, it worked fine but today I tried a new Kindle and the file looks all blank when open on a android mobile reader, and the latest version of Mobipocket does not open it and ask to download an up-to-date version.
any idea why? is it possible that Amazon has changed the DRM system?
